Supa’s task management module lets you assign work to individuals or entire teams, set deadlines, and track completion with photo evidence — all from the web dashboard or mobile app. This page explains how to create tasks, configure verification requirements, and use the dashboard to monitor field work across locations.

Key capabilities

Create tasks with a title, description, due date, priority level, and assignee. Attach photos or files to give workers the context they need before they start.
Require workers to take a live camera photo when marking a task complete. This gives managers visual confirmation that work was done correctly — no text-only sign-offs.
Break complex jobs into ordered steps using sub-tasks. Workers check off each step in sequence, and the parent task only closes when all sub-tasks are complete.
When a worker fails a checklist item, Supa automatically creates a corrective action task, pre-filled with the failed question, evidence photos, and the relevant location. No manual creation required.
Set tasks to repeat on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. Supa creates each new instance automatically and notifies the assigned worker when it’s due.
Tasks move through a clear lifecycle: To Do → In Progress → Done → Verified. Managers can require a verification step before a task is marked fully closed.
Enable manager verification to require a manager to review the completion photo and formally approve the task before it closes. This adds a second layer of quality control for high-stakes work.
Workers receive a push notification when a task is assigned to them and a reminder when it’s approaching or past its due date. Managers are notified when tasks are overdue.

Creating a task

1

Open Tasks

Go to Tasks in the Supa web dashboard or tap the Tasks tab in the mobile app.
2

Create a new task

Click or tap New Task.
3

Fill in the details

Set the title, description, assignee, due date, priority, and location. Add any reference photos or files the worker will need.
4

Enable photo proof if required

Toggle Require photo on completion to force the worker to take a live camera photo before they can mark the task done.
5

Save

Click Save. The task appears in the assignee’s mobile app immediately, along with a push notification.

Dashboard view

The task dashboard gives managers a full picture of field work status across the organization:
  • Filter by location, team, assignee, status, or due date
  • Sort by priority or overdue status to focus on what needs attention first
  • Drill down into any task to see completion photos, timestamps, and the full activity log
  • Export task data to CSV for reporting or compliance records
Use the Overdue filter daily to catch tasks that have slipped past their deadline and reassign or escalate as needed.
Tasks created automatically from failed checklist items include a link back to the original checklist submission, so managers have full context without switching screens.
